The City of Palmetto is served by the North River Fire District's
Station No. 1 located at 1125 14th Avenue West.
The North River Fire District is an independent special taxing district
with a Board of Commissioners elected by District voters.
Fire Administration:
The administration branch of the Fire Department oversees, monitors and
provides guidance and direction in promoting a high level of
professionalism in meeting the emergency needs of the community.
This division also provides inspection of buildings and works closely with
the City's Building Department and Code Enforcement Division to ensure
compliance with applicable local and state codes.
The Emergency Response Division serves the community during emergency
situations which may pose a threat of injury, loss of life or serious
damage to property. In addition to fire suppression, the division
provides rescue and extrication, command structure at major disasters,
immediate response to all areas within its jurisdiction and promotes
community fire awareness.
The North River Fire District provides training of personnel which
ensures the District operates in a safe, efficient and effective manner. |
