The primary function of the Public Works Department is to ensure quality public improvement construction projects, provide an efficient and safe street and highway system through proper design and traffic control, and to monitor and inspect the City's infrastructure system.

The Public Works Complex consolidates the City's public works operations into a single facility.  The City's garage services, water operations, maintenance and construction and sanitary sewer system maintenance and construction, parks, streets, engineering, sanitation and recycling services, central stores,  and storm water drainage system maintenance are housed in this facility.
