The Customer service representatives handle turn on/off of water/sewer service as well as meter reading, checking for leaks and repair/replacement of residential meters.

The city does not have its own source of potable water but purchases approximately 1.5 million gallons per day from Manatee County and pumps the water to all homes and business within the city limits.

Numerous tests are conducted to ensure that the water meets all the requirements of Federal and State regulations for safe drinking water.

Wastewater is collected in the sewage collection system and pumped to the City's wastewater treatment plant for treatment. The City has 65 miles of water main pipes and 46 miles of sewer main pipes.
