Many events are held in the City of Palmetto throughout the year such as the Jerry Hill Kid's Fishing Tournament, the Desoto Children's Parade, and the Children’s Party in the park at Sutton Park after the parade. Heritage Day and the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, and the Multi-Cultural Festival after it ends. The River Regatta. The Tonya Clavey Memorial Car Show and the Great American Cleanup in April are sponsored by the City and Keep Manatee Beautiful. The Fire Charity Fishing Festival is one of our newest events and we’re happy to add them to our list of festivals.
On July 4, there is a free concert in Sutton Park and a spectacular fireworks display over the Manatee River.
The Manatee County Fair takes place during the last ten days in January. The fairgrounds are located in Palmetto at 14th Avenue West and 17th Street West.
Come and enjoy any and all of our popular events.
