Bulk Debris Removal Guidelines from Hurricane Ian
The City of Palmetto anticipates starting bulk debris removal later this week or the week of October 10th. In preparation for the debris removal, please use the following guidelines. Debris such as loose tree branches and limbs should be placed in piles curbside. Do not block the roadway and keep the piles away from other structures, such as streetlights or fire hydrants. Bagged yard debris such as leaves should be place curbside in a separate location. Do not mix bagged yard waste with loose debris. If you have storm related Construction and Demolition (C&D) debris (e.g., metal, concrete, wood) please place that in a separate pile away from other debris piles.
The bulk debris removal could take several weeks to complete throughout the City. Please be patient, as we are working hard to remove the debris as quickly as possible. Check back on our website for future updates.
